The challenge

Atlas Freight coordinates shipments across twelve regional teams. Dispatchers were juggling spreadsheets, a legacy tracker and a chat channel. Everyone had a different answer to the same question: where is this shipment, and what needs attention now?

The approach

We spent a week in the dispatcher's chair, listening to calls and mapping the exceptions that actually cause delays. The result was a dashboard built around attention, not data volume: what is late, what is at risk, and what can wait.

We designed a dense but calm interface, a component library for tables, filters and status, and a route map that stays readable at a glance. The system was built to grow with the team's regional structure.

The outcome

Twelve regional teams onboarded to one operational view. Dispatchers resolve exceptions faster, and the weekly status meeting has less status and more decisions.

“Finally, a dashboard our dispatchers actually use.”
